​​Just across the Welsh border between Llandrindod Wells and Presteigne lie the somewhat forgotten hills of mid Wales -the Radnor Forest range. There are three summits above 600metres in the northern area and slightly lower rolling hills to the south. The area is home to one of the finest falls in Powys, Water-Break its Neck. All walks finish at the Fforest Inn.

A party: The A walk starts on the A44 at Haines Mill heading north to Harley Dingle before sharply turning south and then east towards New Radnor. They turn northwards to ascend Whimble and then Bache Hill before swinging westwards to Black Mixen. Skirting the Radnor Range, they gain the trig point on Great Rhos, at 660m the highest point of the day. Retracing their steps a short distance, they then descend south westwards on the bridle path before ascending south eastwards to Davy Morgan’s Dingle. They make their way to Water-Break its Neck Waterfall before using various footpaths and bridleways to reach the Fforest Inn.

Distance: 22km  - Ascent 975 m

​​B1 party: The B1 walk starts on the A44 at Llanfihangel -Nant-Melin and ascends the bridleway past Lower House in an easterly direction. They turn southwards through Trewern Wood and descend to cross the Gilwern Brook. At Court of Gladestry (a Grade 2 listed Property as a fine surviving portion of a large Elizabethan mansion) they turn westwards to ascend Caety Traylov and on to Llanfihangel Hill. They descend to New Cwmceste before ascending to the trig point on Gwaunceste Hill. They then head northwards to Llynheilyn Pool and across the fields to the Fforest Inn.

Distance: 20.5 km- Ascent 750m

B2 party: ​The B2 walk starts at the Fforest Inn and aims north through Caebanol to cross the stream near Penny Well Spring before turning eastwards to Warren House. They proceed in a northerly direction alongside Lluestau’r Haul to gain the track and then continue northwards until spot point 478. They turn eastwards to ascend Great Rhos at at 660m the highest point of the day. They continue southwards, skirting the Radnor Range to Davy Morgan’s Dingle and make their way to Water-Break its Neck Waterfall. They turn southwards and then westwards to regain their outward path.​​

Distance: 18km – Ascent 760m

C party: The C walk starts on the A44 at Haines Mill heading north to Harley Dingle and then proceeds north westwards above Davy Morgan’s Dingle to open moorland. They continue to reach the track just below spot point 478 where they swing southwards alongside Lluestau’r Haul to descend to Water-Break its Neck Waterfall. They turn southwards and then westwards on paths and bridleways across the fields to reach the Fforest Inn.
