The Chilterns - Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covers 324 square miles of countryside, forming a chalk escarpment across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire. The Chilterns is a walker’s delight, with a network of footpaths and some iconic National Trails offering varied walking over rolling hills, beech woodlands and chalk downs.
